Earthquake, volcano, flood, hurricane, cyclone, drought, conflict or political crisis, Caritas is famous for working before, during and after, providing a rapid, professional and compassionate response to those who have lost everything.
 
When an emergency happens and there are no local resources, Caritas launches a global appeal. Our members raise funds in their own countries and offer human resources, all of which are directed through the national Caritas office on the ground.
 
Caritas is seeing an upswing in emergencies caused by natural disasters, especially the impact of climate. As with the monsoon season in South Asia, more of our resources are being spent on reducing the impact of emergencies before they happen.
