You get in the truck with the other girls. Martin disappears, but a different man yells at you not to make a sound when the truck approaches the border with another country. Two days later, you are being driven through a strange city. You can’t read the signs because they are in a different language. But your car passes a big poster with some words in your own language, including “Caritas,” and there is a short phone number.

You are taken to a strange apartment with the other girls. You don’t understand the language people are speaking. Men you don’t know lock you all inside the apartment. They say if they bring you customers and you don’t do what they say, you will be beaten. You’re terrified and don’t know what to do. But when no one is looking, you think you can get to a phone.
