Avis important concernant des communications frauduleuses qui prétendent provenir de Caritas
20 June 2011 Malheureusement, les organisations caritatives sont parfois visées par des individus sans scrupules qui opèrent des tentatives frauduleuses de soutirer de l’argent aux donateurs au moyen d’activités telles que les escroqueries à la loterie ou les fraudes par courriel. De temps en temps, ce type de fraude touche aussi Caritas Internationalis.
Si vous recevez une communication douteuse, par ex. un courriel qui prétend provenir de Caritas, n’envoyez pas vos renseignements à l’expéditeur, effacez le courriel ou réexpédiez-le intégralement, l’en-tête y compris, à Caritas.internationalis@caritas.va En cas de notification à Caritas d’une activité frauduleuse, les autorités compétentes en sont toujours informées. Nous prenons aussi des mesures avec les fournisseurs d’hébergement quand nous pouvons les identifier, mais nous ne pouvons pas toujours garantir que ce type de communication ne circule pas.
