Caritas Bosnia and Herzegovina (Biskupske konferencije Bosne I Hercegovine) works in a wide variety of areas. It provides care for the elderly and people with learning difficulties, supports agricultural and entrepreneurial projects, provides psychological and educational support and lobbies for social justice and improved human rights.

A major concern in Bosnia-Herzegovina is the increase in human trafficking. In collaboration with national authorities and other partners, Caritas Bosnia and Herzegovina is working to mitigate and prevent this problem.

During the Balkan conflicts of the 1990s, Caritas Bosnia-Herzegovina focused on helping those displaced and dispossessed by the fighting, delivering food and medicines and helping to provide shelter. It also initiated social rehabilitation and health programmes that still continue.
