Caritas Germany runs 25,400 kindergartens, hospitals, homes and care facilities for the young, pregnant women in difficult circumstances, the elderly and the addicted, social service units and advice centres, some of which are for refugees and Germans from eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

Caritas Germany also has worldwide commitments to emergency assistance and reconstruction and the development of social services.
