It is thirty years since Óscar Romero was assassinated while celebrating Mass. As Archbishop of San Salvador he spoke out against the brutal regime that oppressed the people of his country. Now, thirty years after his death on 24th March 1980, his message of justice, peace and defence of the poor still rings out loud and clear.
