Young people from Caritas organisations from around the world will join many other pilgrims at World Youth Day 2016 in Krakow, Poland, at the end of July.

Caritas president Cardinal Luis Tagle will be present at an event where Caritas youth will share their testimonies of love and service with pilgrims on the afternoon of Wednesday 27th August.

Pope Francis will open the Caritas House for Mercy for the elderly on the last day of World Youth Day. This ties in with the theme of World Youth Day “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” (Mt. 5:7)
